fourrr....

I decided to go to the student center late one night to get some coffee and observe at a different time. Usually i just observe during the day or early evening. When i went there wasn't many people there but there were a few. The workers were acting really happy they were fighting over the radio that would play for the customers to hear and finally they all agreed on some indie rock music. There was a study group off to the side talking and laughing. It didn't look like they were getting much studying done. There was two guys sitting at the table drinking their coffee and talking in very low voices and looking around making sure that no one could hear them. There was also two girls that came into the line laughing really loud. One of the girls almost had a heart attack because one of the workers almost but whipped cream on her drink. Three people yelled at the worker not to do it and the two boys who were talking very quietly turned and looked at them weird. The two girls then went to the table and were laughing and throwing stuff at each other.

number three

I went to Starbucks at different time and it was during the day before i had to go to philosophy. I saw the girl that i metioned last time with the long blonde hair and pale skin she had on a black t-shirt and blue jeans with black shoes. She looked at me weird when i sat down and i looked at her and began writing but i think she figured it out. She was on her laptop again and she had her coffee to her left and her Wendy's to her right she was typing very fast and looking confused sometimes. The workers at Starbucks were laughing and throwing stuff at eachother and some of the customers found it very entertaining. There was a guy two tables over from mine and he had four books out on the table everywhere with piles of papers he was working vigoursly and i don't think that i saw him look up once. To my suprise i didn't see any professors or professionals. There was one annoying girl on her cell phone she was talking and laughing very loud like the person on the other end could no hear her. Many people that were on their laptops looked up and gave her looks of disgust. Two guys came in line behind her and they were acting like they were being blown away from her talking and some people in line behind them started to laugh. I was still observing the drink that were being ordered and i do think that the girls order more of the cold fruity drinks while the guys order straight up coffee. Other people just sitting at the tables i could tell there was this guy and girl sitting together and they were deep in conversation about something important and she had a strawberries and creme frappocino and he had a tall coffee.

observation two

When i went friday to Starbucks there was many people there. There were two guys standing in line and they were laughing really hard and one of the guys was telling story he used his hands a lot. They were talking about work and how he spilled stuff everywhere. Their laughs were really loud and a girl standing behind them kept on giving them a weird face. She stood really quiet until her phone rang and it was a Brittney Spears ring tone and the boys turned around and they gave her a weird look and turned back around to tell more of the story. The boy working the cash register seemed really happy and when you went up to the register he would tell you tell you it was a good choice. For example, i would like a coffee and he would be like, "good choice" he would also have conversations with you asking how your day was going and what were the plans for the weekend. There were two workers making the drinks they would laugh occassionaly but they would also be silent most of the time. Then one of the workers would yell out the drink and the customer would go and get it. A professor came he wore a polyester coat with beige pants and brown shoes. He was carrying a brief case and he was staring at the menu with interest and he was talking out loud about what drink he should get. An older women walked by and said hi to him i didn't catch the name because she said it really softly. i know that many people looked at me weird because i would look at them and hurried up and took notes. Another girl who was very pale with long blonde hair in a braid wearing all black came in she ordered a drink and she sat down at a table and started to read a book. The whole time that i was there she was very into the book i don't think she looked up even when drinking her coffee. When i went to starbucks during the day my observations about the drink were still the same most of the girls did order the cold drinks while the guys ordered the hot drinks.

first observation

When i went to the starbucks in the student center and learning everything we did i observed. The people that i observed were the customers. When i first got there was a girl on laptop drinking a grande coffee she was looking at her computer with great concentration. After sitting there for a while i noticed that she would type a few words and then take a sip of her coffee. Many people came and went. I noticed that when guys went up there to order their drinks they mostly ordered coffee in either a grande or venti size. When girls went up there they mostly got the smallest size and they usually got tea and frappcinos. There were a bunch of girls standing in line talking excitedly and they were all dressed in white. Some of their bags had Sigma Sigma Sigma on it and it was their initation today. There was a girl and guy sitting at a table the guy was looking at the newspaper while the girl was leaning across the table smiling and flipping her hair.

places i'm thinking about

i've been thinking about a few places that i want to look at you
the first one i preferably want is the starbucks in the student center i will observe the students going to get coffee because it will offer me a variety of people.
i could also go to the library computer lab because there is a lot of people that go there.
i also think the rec/im is a good place because people from the community goes there not just students and faculty.

i really do prefer the starbucks in the student center though because i love that place.
